Peninsula State Park is located in Door County and it is the third-largest state park in Wisconsin. 

The state park is one of the popular destinations for camping as it has five separate campgrounds and over 400 sites for you to enjoy nature with your loved ones. The five campgrounds of the park are:

I. North Nicolet Bay Campground

North Nicolet Bay has 44 reservable campsites and it is only a short walking distance away from Nicolet Beach. The sites in this campground don't have power hookups as it is mostly reserved for tent camping.

Facilities regarding showers, drinking water, and restrooms are available within the campgrounds. 

II. South Nicolet Bay Campground

South Nicolet Bay has 143 sites and two of the sites are handicap accessible. The 54 campsites in this campground have power hookups and two separate restroom locations with showers. 

The campsite also features Long Pine and Minnehaha hiking trails.

III. Tennison Bay Campground

Tennison Bay features 188 sites and 97 of them have power hookups while two of them are handicap accessible. It is a perfect place if you want your camping experience filled with activities such as biking, kayaking, and canoeing.

Tennison Bay is not located in a secluded area so it is close to a nature center, parks, and the main road.

IV. Weborg Point Campground

Weborg Point is the smallest campground among the five of them as it only has 12 campsites and the area is surrounded by Green Bay waters. All the sites have the facilities for power hookups and there is only one restroom location with showers. 

Since this site is the starting point of the Hemlock Trail so it is a good point to begin your exploration. 

V. Welcker's Point Campground

Welcker's Point is a great area to visit with your entire family as it has several picnic areas. It has 81 campsites with facilities such as multiple restrooms with showers and drinking water areas. 

The campground is located within the walking distance of Nicolet Bay walking trail and Nicolet Bay Beach. The campsites don't have any power hookups.

The Peninsula State Park has three group campsites which are reserved for tent camping only. The sites are Orchard, Lakeshore, and Meadow.

There are several adventurous activities available in the park such as hiking, biking, and water activities. The park also features Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, Svens Bluff, Eagle Tower, and a golf course.
