Sabrina Yvette Rosario quietly slipped away to her eternal home on the morning of Thursday, May 19, 2022.
Sabrina was born on December 1, 1956 in Norfolk, Virginia. She was preleased by her parents, Marion Davis and Clifford Mitchell, as well as her God Mother, Mary Winborne who assisted in raising her. She was also predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 30 years, Eduardo Rosario Jr.
At a young age, Sabrina accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. As an adult, she joined Rock Church, Virginia Beach but frequently attended First Baptist Church South Hill and The Mount Chesapeake.
Sabrina was educated in the Norfolk Public School System where she graduated from Maury High School. She then continued her education by achieving a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Norfolk State University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University.
Sabrina was employed at SunTrust Bank as a Branch Manager for 12 years. In 1999 she later went on to become the Training Manager for Cox Communications where she served for 20 years before retiring in June of 2019. Sabrina had a God-given gift for helping others.
Sabrina had a positive impact on everyone she came in contact with. From her infectious laugh to her kind and loving disposition, she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Out of all the accomplishments she achieved in life, her most treasured was having the title of “Yaye” as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren Kingsley (6), Bellamy (3), Grand Nephew, Dante James (3) and La’Mariyah (3). Sabrina and Eddie LOVED to spend time with their Grandkids. There wasn’t a weekend that they didn’t pick them up from home, shower them with love and expose them to new experiences and of course restaurants. (Red Lobster to be exact.)
Sabrina met the love of her life, Eduardo Rosario Jr., in 1991. Like a true fairy tale, these lovebirds insisted on being married the following year on Valentine’s Day in 1992. Throughout the years, Sabrina and Eddie did everything together. You would never see one without the other. They loved to travel and experience various restaurants. However, Sabrina enjoyed discovering and preparing many unique meals for her husband. She was an extraordinary cook for not only her Eddie, but for the entire family.
Sabrina is survived by her brother, Montrolleus Mullen Jr., sister, Yvonne Buckson, only son, Robert Rosario (Brittany), grand children Kingsley and Bellamy Rosario, her Nephew/2nd Son Lamar Buckson (Karen), Nephew John Briggs, Niece Taqilah Drew (Johnathan). Cousins Gregory Russell (Cordelia), Andre Russell and Gregory Russell Jr., Great Nephews Paris Ricks Jr and Dontraile Buckson, Great Nieces Diamond Ricks, Giselle Drew, Ariella Drew, La’Mariyah Buckson and La’Zion Buckson.
Sabrina’s presence will be sorely missed, however, her spirit will live on in the many memories in our hearts.
