Phillip James Price, II – Metropolitan Funeral

Phillip James Price II, the son of the late Phillip Sr. and Jessie Mae Price, was born on April 2, 1960 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Phillip graduated from Kempsville High School. After graduation, he began working at Norshipco in Norfolk, Virginia. After a few years, Phillip transitioned over to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Through many years of hard work and perseverance, Phillip became a Nuclear Work Packaging & Control Material Manager.

Phillip was always good at keeping family and friends together. His love for his family and friends was known by all who encountered him. Many impromptu cookouts and “drive bys” were what he was known for. As much as he loved his family, he loved his God equally. Phillip served as a deacon at First Baptist Lamberts Point in Norfolk, Virginia. He also served as a leader for the youth Usher Board.

Phillip leaves to cherish in his memory, his daughter, Donna Watkins; his two sons, Derrick Jones, and Joshua (Sabrina) Bowser; 3 grandchildren, Cierra Crique, Isaiah Arrington-Watkins, and Jewel Bowser; his significant other, Betty Ellis; three sisters, Jewel Roberts, Ena Hinton, and Ella Gibbs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
