Kathleen Harber, Obituary, Death – Haverhill’s High Pointe Hospice House was the lovely final resting place for 72-year-old Kathleen M. Harber on Saturday, November 25. She was the daughter of the late Ralph F. Harber and Kathleen F. (Shea) and was born on February 10, 1951, in Winthrop. Dorchester was her home and school, and she attended Lowell State University after graduating from Dorchester High School in 1969.
She returned to the East Coast in 1992 after spending 1978 in San Francisco, where she attended St. Mary’s College in Hayward, California. Along with her passion for her family, Kathleen was a voracious reader. She had a gentle spirit, was Beth’s faithful companion, and was a cherished family member. Their children and friends were always welcome in her home, and she left an impression on everyone she encountered. Joanna Rose Carey, of Newburyport, is Kathleen’s daughter and the sole surviving relative.
Her sister Rosemary and her husband Dale Carver of Klamath Falls, OR, her brother-in-law William L. Manning of Braintree, and her sister-in-law Norma R. Carey of Braintree are also survivors. Her grandson Joshua C. Carey of Dorchester is also among her relatives. Paul and Diane Harber of FL and her brother Paul and his wife are also survivors. Ann Thompson and Robert Ahern, who cared for her lovingly, are among her other relatives who have passed away.
Benjamin C. Carey, Kathleen’s son, Maureen Deacon, and Beth Ann Carey, her cherished companion of fifty years, all passed away before Kathleen.
