Martin Soong
Martin Soong is an anchor/correspondent based in the network's regional headquarters in Hong Kong. He anchors the news programs out of Hong Kong and reports from the territory and across the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to joining CNN, Soong worked with CNBC Asia where he spent four years as an anchor/news editor and previously six years as a supervising producer/anchor with Asia Business News (now CNBC Asia).
Over his twenty years of reporting experience, Soong has covered many major stories from across Asia and has interviewed many political leaders in the region, including former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, Singapores Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew, former South Korean President Kim Dae Jung, and Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Soong has won numerous prominent awards, including Asian Television Awards and New York Festivals Of International Television Programming Promotion.
