The “rich and blind” individual recognized in the title is Juice WRLD himself. Or stated otherwise, he is “a lost soul” who depicts himself as being on the road to self-destruction. This is specifically due to a drug habit which has overtaken his life.

This is specifically in light of the passing of Lil Peep (1996-2017), a fellow hip-hop artist who had in fact met such a fate. In fact this song is meant to serve as a tribute to both Lil Peep and XXXTentacion, another rapper who passed away in his early 20s.
And overall Juice is dedicating “Rich and Blind” to all individuals who are suffering from depression. Indeed the underlying sentiment of this song is that WRLD is a victim of such. That is to say that due to the aforementioned substance abuse and an overall sense of misery which includes recognizing that his peers are passing away prematurely, he more or less feels that it’s only a matter of time before he does also.
Facts about “Rich and Blind”
“Rich and Blind” came out on 19 June 2018. It is part of a two-song EP Juice WRLD put out, in conjunction with Grade A Productions and Interscope Records, entitled “Too Soon..” And the purpose of that project was to memorialize the aforementioned Lil Peep and X, the latter whom passed away just a day before “Rich and Blind” was released.

Juice WRLD wrote “Rich and Blind” along with David Biral and Denzel Baptiste.
And latter two artists, known collectively as Take A Daytrip, also produced the track in partnership with Jasper Harris and Russell Chell.
This is another of Juice WRLD’s songs which indeed has proven to be prophetic, as the artist himself passed away from what is increasingly appearing as a drug overdose on 8 December 2019.
