TEMPO.CO, Bandung - The winner of Bandung Film festival 2013 will be announced tonight, Saturday, June 15, at Gasibu Square, Bandung, West Java.
Head of Observation Section of Bandung Film Forum Edison Nainggolan said that the total of 94 national films, 355 soap operas (sinetron), and 140 imported films are judged by the observer team. The judging was divided in 13 categories, among which are for best directors, actors and actresses, and cameos. "Imported films are only judged by the genre," he said.
Generally, Edison considers that Indonesian movies' condition is uplifting. "Film makers seem to love the country more," Edison said.
On the judging process, Bandung Film Festival prioritizes themes, purposes, ideas, authenticities, and the novelties of the Indonesian films and soap operas. In the best film category, there are 5 best cinema nominators, which are Tanah Surga Katanya, Habibie dan Ainun, Gending Sriwijaya, 9 Summers 10 Autumns, and 5 Cm.
Nominated actors are Vino G Bastian (in Madre), Agus Kuncoro (in Gending Sriwijaya), Reza Rahadian (in Habibie dan Ainun), Tio Pakusadewo (in Rayya Cahaya di Atas Cahaya), and Adipati Dolken (in Sang Martir).
Nominated actresses are Julia Perez (in Madre), Bunga Citra Lestari (in Habibie dan Ainun), Lana Nitibaskara (in Ambilkan Bulan), Acha Septriasa (in Test pack), Laura Basuki (in madre), and Agni Pratistha (in Cinta tapi Beda).
